THE PRE '56 Register
The Pre56 Register was originally incorporated in 1968 as the T Register, the
present name being adopted in 1993. It's purpose is to record (register) those MG cars
made and designed up to and including 1956 which are owned by members of the MGCC
(Auckland Centre). It has the additional aims and objectives of encouraging the enjoyment
of Pre War MGs, T Series, MGAs, ZAs and ZBs, and to actively support the use and
restoration of these cars. Register membership is automatic for financial MGCC members who
own Pre '56 MGs. The Register is an integral section of the MGCC, having it's own
sub-committee. There are currently more than 100 cars on the Register, ranging from the
M-Type (1928-1932) through to the MGA (1955-1962). Due to the age of the cars, most
Register events are of a social nature. Members are encouraged to take part in main Club
events, as well as competing in separate classes, for a T-Type and earlier trophy and an
MGA, ZA & ZB trophy. There is also an annual award for the T-Type which is driven to
the most Club events, both social and competitive.
News of Register activities as well as reports on technical matters are printed
in the Club MaG. The Register can help with information on where to source parts and
substitute parts, as it aims to serve the specific needs of it's members.
For more information, contact the Pre '56 chairman
on the Contacts page.
THE F/TF Register
The MG Car Club (Auckland Centre)s MGF/TF Register was formed late in 2009,
in response to the ongoing popularity of the MGF and TF with club members. The F and TF
have been around for approaching 15 years now, and have become very popular worldwide. In
New Zealand we are lucky to have a large number of F/TFs at affordable prices, and
accordingly they are becoming popular with club members and those new to the marque. Age
does of course bring its problems, and the F/TFs are technically very different from
the older MG models. Accordingly, the register was set up to help members through
discussion on technical problems, solutions, servicing and parts, meeting and socialising
with other F/TF owners, encouraging new MGF/TF owners to join MGCC, keeping members aware
of new parts, accessories, upgrades, offering buying advice and organizing 1-2 F/TF
focused events per year.
We issue a newsletter every 3 months, where these and other matters are discussed and
changes, developments, etc published.

YOUNG ONES Register
The Young Ones Register was formed in 1999 to encourage and provide activities
for the younger members of the Club. Generally for those up to 25
years of age.
