MG owners are enthusiastic about their cars, and joining the club helps you share that enthusiasm with others and enjoy your car.  The Club has a variety of EVENTS throughout the year to appeal to all tastes – so no matter which MG model you own or what your interests are, there will be something for you. 

We hold events ranging from purely social to fiercely competitive – and everything in between.  Some of the events are held regularly and others are ‘one-offs’, meaning we provide a variety of activities with something new all the time.  The EVENTS pages will tell you more about the events coming up in the next couple of months and beyond.  For more information on specific types of events, please refer to the “Club Events” page.

In addition to the events, there is a wide network of contacts in the club to help you with any problems you may be having with your MG, to guide you in buying an MG, and to assist you in sourcing spare parts and accessories.  With over 500 members owning MG’s from 1929-2005, there will always be someone to help. 

The MG Car Club is one of the largest and oldest clubs in New Zealand.  The Club was originally formed by the MG factory in 1929 and the New Zealand branch started in 1952.  The four centres in New Zealand (Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury and Otago) have between them over 1,000 members, with the UK club having 23,000 members worldwide.  The Auckland Club also has an affiliation with the other key UK MG club, the MG Owners Club

Our marque has a wonderful and remarkable history; MGs are a breed apart and we hope you will be able to learn more about and gain extra enjoyment from your MG.
