Starting out on 1^st June 2011, Bob and Lynne Douglas, in their 1948 MG TC, The Wanderer, set off from England on a grand tour of Europe and Asia. Along the way they intended to travel through France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Russia, Mongolia, China, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia.

For this trip, they had the company of Mark and Sheila Masters, from Taranaki, in their 1947 MG TC.

As at 2nd August Mark and Sheila, who had decided to ship their TC from Beijing back to New Zealand, and Bob and Lynne were leaving Taiyuan, heading for Pingyao and Xian, to visit the Terracotta Warriers.

It wasn't all sandy desert!
