1966 MG1100 – free to a good home

Previously owned by founding club member Rex Thompson, now owned by Peter and Felicity Oakley. Dismantled in early 2000s, and partly restored. Some rust repairs complete, however still several repairs required. Particularly left-hand sill (classic 1100 weak spot), areas on boot lid, rear guards etc - the body definitely needs work.

Engine has been rebuilt and reassembled, seats in very good condition however there's no carpet, and the door cards are tired at best. As far as I can tell, pretty much everything is there bar the carpets, and the speedo - although the latter is believed to be in the pile, I just haven't sighted it.

This would be a great project, for a rare and appreciating classic MG saloon. The owners are very keen to see this go to someone who will appreciate it, and so are offering it to club members free to a good home.

It can be viewed in Blockhouse Bay. For further information, or to arrange viewing, phone Andrew Walbran 021 648 823.
